The Kuala Lumpur Railway Station was the main rail terminal of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital city. It was completed in 1910, in the then-popular Moorish/Indo-Saracenic style, which was also used in the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It underwent a major refurbishment and expansion in 1986, and in 1995 the tracks were electrified for the KTM Komuter rapid rail service. The station's role as KL's main railway station was replaced in 2001 by KL Sentral, which was located a few hundred metres south. KTM Komuter and ETS trains continue to stop here as well as KL Sentral, while the diesel-powered KTM Intercity no longer does.
