Use this to convert a video shot with the HDTV 16:9 aspect ratio compromise to Prime Widescreen. To what, you say? Well, ancient Greeks loved prime numbers (a prime number, as you know, is a number that cannot be divided by any number other than 1 and itself). I happen to share that love with those ancient Greeks. So, I just made up a widescreen ratio of 19:7. And since both 19 and 7 are prime numbers, and since 19/7 = 2.71 (roughly, obviously) which is quite a wide-screen ratio, I have named it the Prime Widescreen. This one has a structured mask and a transparent background. This is one of the series of graphics I have created to allow masking of the contents of videos, so they appear to have a different aspect ratio. Some will make it appear more cinematic by adding a horizontal bar on the top and on the bottom of each video frame, creating the illusion of a wide screen image. Others will make it look more old-fashioned by adding a vertical bar at the left and right sides of each video frame, thus producing the illusion of classical cinema, which used the 1.33:1 ratio in the silent era and the academy ratio (1.375:1) once the sound film appeared. Additionally, before the big switch to digital TV, television used the 1.33:1 (4:3) ratio. So, why use SVG vector graphics when similar masks are easy to find on the web in the PNG bitmap format? After all, video uses bitmap frames and most video editors cannot even read SVG files! The obvious answer is simple: Video files come
